President Obama – Please Do Not Support the "Running of the Bulls" or Bullfights

It is disturbing that people can take great pleasure in watching animals endure carious injuries and worse as a form of entertainment.  Bullfights and running of the bulls are such activities that gets extreme recognition.  In fact, when our President Obama visits Spain, on his agenda is the running of the bulls.  Read more on this issue at http://regator.com/p/272229883/president_obama_please_steer_clear_of_the_running/.

Bulls are tormented, prodded and irritated to make them get agitated and frightened, ready to stampede.  Additionally, they are running on beer drenched cobblestones which are slippery as they are trying to escape the people who are grabbing and twisting at their tails and poking them with sticks and other objects.  This is entertainment?  This is animal cruelty. The run leads to tons of injuries for the animals and at the end, they are often killed with a sword plunged between their shoulder blades.

The effort in this petition is to encourage President Obama not to attend such a horrific, barbaric effort which clearly would show his support for such cruel acts.  You can help by signing and sharing this petition, adding your own thoughts and comments in support of the bulls.

President Obama – I strongly urge you not to attend the Pamplona's San Fermín Festival and the "running of the bulls," which is a barbaric and cruel act that torments the bulls.  They are harassed for human pleasure by day and murdered by night, all for the pleasure of humans!  This is an indeed animal cruelty issue and you attending such an activity shows your support and endorsement of such abuse.  Many events like this have already been banned, and the majority of Spanish citizens oppose bullfights. I urge you not to support this violent practice during your visit to Spain.
