Over-vaccination of pets
Over-vaccination of the rabies vaccination, additional vaccines and treatment simultaneously.
I found out today that the 1 yr & 3 yr rabies vaccine are the same. I live in Colorado and I understand that they want to do the first vaccine for 1 year and additional ones for 3 years. The vet told me they do this as a booster shot and then not to over-vaccinate the animal. I had a vet in Oregon give my cat (in photo) all the yearly vaccinations, a tapeworm shot and extra flea medication all on the same day leven though she had lost weight. She is only 7 1/2 pounds at best. When I questionned him, he was arrogant about it. Two days later, on a Sunday, I had to rush my cat to the vet who told me she would likely die. Luckily for them, she didn't. It was THEIR fault. Let's stop over-vaccinating our pets. Those states that want rabies shots yearly, let's go to every 3 years or as Colorado does.
