Your Excellency,

I should be begged for immediate intervention on the ever growing wave of suicides among
farmers and Monsanto, which produces genetically modified cotton road. Over the past 16
years has put an end to his life as much as 250 thousand. farmers. Every 30 minutes one of
them commits suicide.
This is one of the greatest humanitarian catastrophes in history!
Monsanto, a huge transnational corporation which produces genetically modified seeds.
Monsanto namówi%u0142o one thousand Indian farmers to purchase seed cotton, Bollgard, known
by the abbreviation Bt. Four times more expensive than conventional seed. They contain
a toxin that kills insects feeding on cotton. Interest was to be so great, because the cost of
odpad%u0142yby insektobójczych.
Except that poor farmers cultivating small plots have to burden to buy Bt. And the money at
usury and lend them to dealers, Monsanto, because the Indian province of cheap credit is not
the question.
It soon appeared that insects become resistant to Bt, so farmers had to rebuy and insecticides.
Until that Bt does not like the Indian monsoon. Cultivation of GM cotton in practice in India
proved to be many times less profitable than the traditional (Monsanto, of course, argues
that the opposite is true.) The problem lies in the fact that other cotton farmers can not get it,
because the whole seed market in India is virtually controlled by Monsanto.
This global company it is only complicit, a catalyst and symbol of the changes that destroy
the traditional Indian agriculture. The processes of globalization mean that the small plots
gospodaruj%u0105cy poor Indian, whose work is an essential tool, draft animals, they are unable to
keep up with the role. And despite the economic development of India could not absorb all of
the already full of poor city.
The other side of the coin, however, is that these payments as well as subsidies to American
farmers also contribute to the tragic situation of farmers in Third World countries by reducing
prices below the cost-effectiveness.
NOW, THEREFORE, I beg for intervention, designed to deter suicides among BULK
INDIAN FARMERS, and to refrain MONSANTO COMPANY ACTIVITIES BEFORE SO
GREAT bringing about humanitarian catastrophe.
YOUR ACTIONS CAN ONLY save hundreds of thousands of innocent people, manipulated
and deceived PEOPLE.
I hope that they will be taken seriously and ACTIONS TO Saving hundreds of thousands of
PEOPLE WILL IMMEDIATELY FOLLOW.
