Let it be known, We The People of the United States of America, assert that the issues herein, are not issues of race or color, Republicans or Democrats, but of government and special interests consecutively enacting and influencing legislation, damaging to the constitution, very union itself and the greater good of the citizens of this country only to benefit special and corporate interests at the expense of the working class Americans, who make up a large majority of the population. This silent majority is no longer represented fairly in the United States Congress assembled. We reserve the right to have our voices heard in congress, and be represented as the Constitution of the United States of America proclaims. Democrats and Republicans alike bear full responsibility for the corruption that has been allowed to control our government.
On July the 4th 1776, the Second Continental Congress adopted the United States Declaration of Independence of which this petition is modeled after. Since then, We The People, have risen up against insurmountable odds, time and time again, and have proven to the world what is possible, when We The People of the United States of America unite for a common cause. We today, are again at a crossroads and now face our greatest threat, greatest challenge, greatest responsibility, and our greatest duty. Many of the events which caused our great forefathers to take the drastic steps of writing and adopting the Declaration of Independence 232 years prior, are now being perpetrated on the American people once again, not by foreign armies, not by kings, but by groups of special interests and the government of the United States, which was created that day in 1776 by the people for the people. Our forefathers repeatedly warned of the consequences of inaction as is evident in the following.

It has become evident of the following reasons, why the People of the United States of America are demanding that our government alter it's policies toward the people of this land to meet the obligations set fourth in our Declaration of Independence, our Constitution, Bill of Rights, and Articles of Confederation. Such has been the patient sufferance of the People; and such is now, the necessity, which constrains them to alter their former System of Government.
The history of the present governing body of the United States of America is a history of increasing injuries, usurpations, and total disregard for the voices, and well being of its people, for the benefit and gain of the wealthy, and of the powerful corporations of which control the policies implemented by government to the end that laws in favor of the people of this land are powerless and easily circumnavigated. Industries are being deregulated at a record pace, thus allowing them to take everything from the people, completely unchallenged. The people of this land are no longer being represented by their elected officials, as they give way to the lobbyist and special interest groups who come to congress wielding cash, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute corpocracy over these States. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid world.

"The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence."
The government of the United States of America has repeatedly, against the overwhelming rejection of the people of the United States, and a few in Congress, enacted laws of which favor large corporations, and corporate profits over the well being of the people of this land. To name a few, NAFTA and CAFTA have sent many of our good paying jobs overseas as corporations seek cheap labor elsewhere, hording record profits among the elite. FTAA, MEFTA, TAFTA, and FTAAP will completely destroy the working class in this country. STOP IT NOW. Decent hard working Americans should hold these jobs.
$700,000,000,000 was given to the financial industry with absolutely no accountability, once again, overwhelmingly against the will of the people, at the expense of the people. While in the mean time, the financial industry has raised their fees on the poor, fabricated good numbers to dupe investors, and still refuses to rewrite home loans for struggling home owners. Government programs to help the people were implemented, such that, most people did not qualify. The government acted slowly in implementing the few programs that could make a difference while rushing billions to the financial industry with no accountability. The people were not represented in this matter; therefore, this amounts to taxation without representation one hundred fold larger than all of the taxation issues leading up to the Declaration of Independence. The government of the United States, which is constitutionally allowed to coin its own currency at 0% interest, has elected to contract with the Federal Reserve Corporation, with no transparency, to print its money while using our tax dollars to pay interest to the corporation, once again, at the expense of the people.
During this time of crisis, food prices have soared, and fuel companies are allowed to charge ridiculous prices without regard to the damage being done to the working class of our country, which bear the brunt of this mess. Monopoly utility companies, insurance companies, and which ever companies want rate increases are getting them without challenge, as their lobbyists are dictating policy in Washington. Competition in our markets has been replaced by consortiums, which dictate pricing and who are gouging the people on the basic necessities of life, such as electricity, food and fuel, effectively executing the systemic and willful destruction of the working class in our society. Lies are being perpetrated against the American people right now as the government and FED chairman tell us the economy is rebounding. Falsely inflated balance sheets, and massive government injection into financial markets are only improving the economy for the big banks and big corporations as conditions continue to deteriorate for the rest of the country. THE GREED AND CORRUPTION MUST STOP NOW!
Someone, pick up a $2.00 calculator, figure out what the average American family has to spend just to exist, then understand that we are not spending, simply because we don't have it to spend. Not because we are hording it like your prized financial institutions are, but because your prized institutions and corporations have been bleeding us dry all in the name of PROFITS while not creating the decent paying jobs they promised. Escalating fees, costs, and expensive legislation being crammed down our throats is rapidly outpacing wages, which is a direct result of poor legislation, which repeatedly represents corporate and special interests over the common sense good of the people. Your economists are incompetent to not see the disaster that is occurring in the working class of this nation. These afflictions are unconstitutional, and as some would say, treasonous against the very people of the United States of America.
Such a government no longer represents a republic, is no longer a government of the people for the people, but has become a corporatocracy, (We beg anyone to prove different) thus violating our constitutional guarantee of a republican form of government, of which, we the people demand is reinstated in these United States of America.
The government of the United States, against constitutional requirements, repeatedly refuses to protect our borders from intrusion after overwhelming requests from the public and from the governors of states directly affected, as referenced in article 4 section 4 of the Constitution of the United States of America.
The former president of our nation, George W. Bush deceived our nation with false intelligence, into an unjust war with another nation, to which our brave men and women faithfully executed their duties, some giving the ultimate sacrifice to their country under deception. All while his Vice President directly benefited from defense contracts received by Halliburton, a serious conflict of interest and case of corruption.
We The People, demand, that Congress, in its full authority, make right the wrongdoings against the People of the United States of America by honoring your oath of office and commitment to the Constitution of the United States of America, and by enacting legislation to correct the following items, which you have thus far refused to do:
Section 1. The Constitution
Remove corporatism, restore the republic and the constitution as the law of the land. Do not allow socialism to replace corporatism, but restore to us our republic. Quit fabricating word definitions to circumvent the intent of the constitution. Instill term limits in Congress, and take the same healthcare and retirement you say is sufficient for us. Remove the use of Czars in government offices, or are you implying a dictatorship, which must ultimately be eliminated. Stop all efforts toward a'New World Order" and One World Government. We the People will NOT be held hostage to rules fabricated by people outside of our land without our consent. Eminent domain shall NEVER be granted to a corporation for its own profit. Quit enacting legislation full of irrelevant subject matter (pork) that benefits a select few of the population at the expense of the People. When a four-page document can free a nation, it shall not take 1,200 pages to write an energy bill, this amounts to 1,150 pages of garbage, being shoved down the throat of the American people.
Section 2. Corruption
Institute a separation of industry and state, thereby, outlawing corporate lobbying and campaign contributions by businesses, or entities representing businesses. PAC accounts shall be closed since Congressmen refuse to legitimately utilize the funds, and corruptly use them for personal benefit. Repeal decisions allowing corporations to become persons or individuals, thus allowing them to exert their influence in policy matters, which time and time again, have proven to solely benefit a small minority of people at the expense of the real people of this nation. Monitor large corporations, and enact legislation to prevent corporations from becoming "Too big to fail". Political advisors shall be of the majority, and not of the corporations, as ex CEOs do not advise presidents and congressmen to the good of the people, but to the good of the corporation at the expense of the people. IE corruption. Allow small business to be competitive against large business by shifting tax burden from small to large business. Corporate giants, at an alarming rate, are assimilating or destroying small businesses. Corporations shall not use credit reports of workers to deny them their right to work. International corporations shall have NO influence in our legislation.
Stop enacting and reverse trade agreements that take our jobs away from us, and allow large international corporations to destroy our nation with high unemployment, lower paying jobs, and higher profit margins, once again, on the backs of American workers and small businesses, all while providing inferior products of which they no longer stand behind. This effectively circumvents excise and import taxes and unconstitutionally shifts the burden to the taxpayer. STOP sending vast quantities of money to other countries, foreigners, and non- U.S. citizens while denying grants and help to citizens who have worked all their lives and are experiencing hard times. Take care of our own, especially our Veterans. Audit the Federal Reserve System, and publicize the results of such audit. If deemed damaging to the people of the United States of America, by the people, Abolish the Federal Reserve Corporation, and demand restitution for the damage done to our country, seizing assets if necessary, and holding those usurpers responsible for treason. Overhaul the tax system to adhere to the Constitution of the United States. A full inventory and full accountability of the gold reserves in the United States should be conducted and made public. This gold belongs to the people of the United States of America, and we reserve the right to know where our nations wealth is.
Section 3. Regulation
Regulate critical infrastructure services such as utilities to force them to benefit the consumer over the shareholder. Their concern should be if everyone could afford their utility, not their profit margin, especially since many of them are a monopoly at a local level. We expect less government intrusion into healthcare, and more regulations for insurance companies, and food manufacturers manipulating their labeling, if the label says no trans fat then there shall be NO trans fat, not less than, simply NO trans fat.
Section 4. Security
Secure our borders, and repeal the Patriot Act. We deserve the protection of a secure nation without intrusion. Use our troops to protect our borders without the need for the Patriot Act. Millions of illegal aliens crossing our borders at will constitutes an invasion, of which, the federal government is not meeting its constitutional obligation to protect those states from such invasion; thereby, using these reasons to illegally spy on our own countrymen.

I could not agree more.
I am feed up with those in Congress who continue to ignore the voice of the majority of Americans. They are being paid by us and work for us, they need to start listening to us. Our government should not be catering to special interest groups, groups like "MoveOn.org", etc. Congress needs to abide by the Constitution of the United States, and only that. We need term limits to help solve the problem.

We need to put a stop to the crony capitalists, business and financial monopolies, and casino capitalists. Pass common sense financial regulatory reforms of the financial services industry -- can agree with Republican lawmakers that we don't want to over regulate but under regulation is just as bad. We need to hold Wall Street commercial and investment banks and their bankers accountable for causing the financial crisis. Hold them accountable for acting like casinos and gambling with their depositor's money -- customers of the banks should not lose their money because the banks gamble with it. We must also ensure banks cannot own hedge funds -- and if a bank or other financial institution is too big to fail its too big to exist and must be broken up to protect our financial system in the future. Use antitrust enforcement to breakup business and financial monopolies including big cable & phone company broadband Internet service providers, wireless phone carriers that have become too big, mandate wholesale open access so any cellular phone can work with any carrier thus creating more choice and competition; mandate Net Neutrality and wireless Net Neutrality so Internet and mobile Internet users have basic protections of nondiscrimination so ISPs and wireless phone carriers cannot discriminate against legal content or services users decide to use. AT&T Wireless cannot discriminate against Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) apps for cellular phones by restricting them to Wifi -- if the app is technically capable of running over a carrier's network the app should not be blocked from doing so. Net Neutrality should also apply to Apple's App Store -- they cannot block legal apps they dislike like Google Voice from being made accessible to iPhone/iPod Touch and now iPad users. Getting back to the subject of restoring democracy and open, competitive free markets -- Congress also needs to pass a Constitutional Amendment to restore the campaign finance reform restrictions on corporate soft money political action committees (PACs) struck down sadly by the U.S. Supreme Court in Citizens United vs FEC so corporations cannot buy elections. This is not a plutocracy but a democracy which needs to be protected. We need to abolish corporate personhood, and end corporate special interest lobbying which is legalized bribery -- we need to ensure our elected leaders are serving our interests not that of a few big corporations. We need strong consumer protections, and Washington to start putting the middle class first. Grow the middle class with good jobs bills, encourage workers to join labor unions to bargain for better wages and benefits, pass healthcare reform, and above all restore the Constitution, the rule of law, habeus corpus, and most importantly hold those responsible for the war crimes against Iraq, human rights violations at Gitmo accountable for committing torture. End the socialist TARP taxpayer bailouts for the very companies that caused the economic mess we are in. Stop favoring Wall Street before Main Street. Greed in government and private institutions is the greatest threat we face. Our government has not truly represented the best interests of THE PEOPLE since the military industrial complex was created. Our country no longer produces the goods and provides the jobs that we need to maintain our own security! May I respectfully point out that it's the MONEY from LOBBYISTS respresenting the SPECIAL INTERESTS and not the general welfare of the nation that has caused all of this garbage. This and the fact that all we seem to be offered are, generally, lawyers and not people who have learned to deal with real life on a budget. Of many bad things our government is doing or contemplating doing to its people, forced vaccinations are the most nazi like threat I see at this time. The Federal Reserve is creating bubbles that are unhealthy for our country. We need stability, jobs to remain here, manufacturing. The government is not on the side of the people. I strongly agree with the major portion of this petition. I want to add that I believe in Capitalism and the Free Market System. I want to see our money stay in this country and for our country to encourage all forms of alternative energy and to drill for oil in [and offshore of] our own country [including ANWR]. We can have wind energy, natural gas, nuclear, and much more solar... just not buy oil from our enemies any more and not send our money away from home! I want to see fines for companies that have taken the jobs out of the country, and benefits for those that keep jobs here in the USA. We have been the best country in the world, have helped everyone with our open hearts and pockets, and have not been appreciated for it. I want our USA back!
To the special interest groups, News Media, and Congress, that is, oh, so wrong. When I hear the nightly news, and our congressman talk, I can only shake my head, because they have the wrong understanding. You-all have the issues down OK, but the wrong take on the problem. I know you are just reading a script and it’s all programmed. The politicians are just puppets. Watch them dance. The issues are put out there by the bureaucracies. Congestion, unemployment and the sinking home value create anxiety. The special interests take the other side and the talk begins and money flows. The Congressmen, wrinkle their brows, and ask the bureaucrats to write it all down, for them to decide on. They don’t read the bill, so when it goes into the backroom and then come back, they don’t know spit! Did it change? The Politicians roll-around in it, for awhile and give the bureaucracies what they want. The special interests get more money given to-em as grants, donations, research projects, news coverage, not for profit group-hugs, -ology degrees and the people get shafted. News helps the special interest buy stirring the pot. With out turmoil there is no money. The bureaucrats are the problem. They make up the issues to get more and help the activists get money. Look at the big mess you feed. (Wake up will ya?) Greenspan was responsible for the shell game from 1981 to 1983 that we call Social Security Trust Funds Management. He headed a select commission on Social Security at the request of President Ronald Reagan to fix SS and he did, by raising payroll tax on the Baby Boomers. Healthcare and SS taxes were raised and surplus money was collected. His plan was to build up funds faster. From 1936 to 1981, the Trust Fund had gained, but not enough to cover the boomer, they said. The bump in population of boomers was more than it could cover. So congress, up the age-limit and taxed the boomers at a higher rate to cover their own entitlement, when and if, it came. Up to then, the trust was, pay-as-you go with congress keeping it broke and not designed to have excessive surpluses. Congress couldn’t keep their hands off and spent the Trust, fast as it came in. Treasuries were given to the Trust as IOU’s with no intention of ever paying the boomer. Congress now had money, for the Environmental Movement and much more! (Go Green.) The Boomers paid for their own SS, Medicare and also for their parents as they were the workers that were taxed larger and longer to fix the Trust Fund for SS and Healthcare systems. But the Government spent the fix and passed on lots to the happy activists. Now this President is egging Congress to fix it again! Even when we have a president that’s a movie-star or from below the Mason-Dixon Line or a sore-headed arrogant cowboy or a tree-huger social-activist from crimeland Chi-town, the outcome is the same. Bend-over because the puppets, must feed the leaches, that put-em in office and their gonna-bite you on the ass. (Money will flow, Politicians will blow and Media will snow!) I’m sick of hearing that the gap between Medicare’s dedicated receipts and spending will widen as the baby boomers enter the program. Between now and 2030 the number of persons age 65 and older is expected to increase rapidly from 40 million to 77 million. Expenses will also rise because healthcare costs are expected to increase. (Oh Darn!) What about the cash, I already coughed up? Let Obama and Congress do without. I already packed my load. I say NO! Thank you very much, but it ain’t me that’s the problem.
