Stand Against Airstrikes in Iraq!

On August 7, President Obama authorized airstrikes in Iraq, deploying fighter jets and armed drones.

The strikes began in response to a humanitarian crisis, to help protect as many as 40,000 Iraqis who took shelter on a mountain after they received death threats from the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria.

The airstrikes so far have been targeted and focused on protecting American personnel and refugees, but now members of the US government are pressuring Obama to expand the airstrikes and ignite a military conflict with the Islamic State in Syria.

Putting more civilian lives in danger is not the answer to this crisis. We can't afford another Iraq war.
