Stop the Rikers Island Jail Cell from being placed at Petrosino Square

The New York City Parks Department has agred to allow an art exhibition of a replica of a jail cell from Rikers Island to be placed in Petrosino Square. This park was dedicated in memory of Lieutenant Joseph Petrosino who was an NYPD hero. Petrosino gave his life while fighting organized crime. He was also the founder of the NYPD Bomb Squad. Placing this exhibition in this park is a desecration to his memory and our Italian Heritage. Placing this here during Italian American Heritage and Culture Month is an even larger slap in the face to our Italian American Community. Mayor Bloomberg,  do not allow Commissioner Wright to move forward with this project.
