A simple wayfor US citizens to take back control of Congress. A constitutional amendment.
Congress has failed it's primary mission which is to represent the citizens and do so with fiscal responsibility. We need to establish some simple rules to limit the corruption. Congress is in denial and frozen with blame and inaction. We have the power to change that.
Dear legislator,
We need to add the following amendments to the constitution. We petition your support and signature on it as well as ours.
No bill shall be placed before the president with any subject matter that is not germane to the primary matter and consistent with the main purpose of such legislation. (No riders to any bill that is not important to that bill.)
No bill shall be placed before the president for signature that has not passed both houses of congress with exactly the same text as it is presented to the president. (No gutting.)
