Denver: Let's Celebrate Pride by Permanently Installing Rainbow Crosswalks!

Denver has a long, proud history of supporting the LGBTQ community - from overturning anti-gay laws in '73, to the first Pride celebration in '74, and the first gay rodeo in '82, we've got a lot to celebrate in Denver.

For our 43rd Pride, let's join together to install permanent, official symbols of metro support for equality: rainbow crosswalks at Cheesman Park (site of the first Pride) and at Colfax and Lafayette (home of The Center, the organizer of PrideFest).

More than ever, it's important to show unity behind equality. Let's spread love and lay down rainbows that can inspire our community to stand together every single day.

Similar Care2 petitions have recently won victories in Atlanta and Washington DC, so let's urge our city to take this simple step and support its LGBTQ residents and visitors.
