I'm a 9th Grade at A.R. Johnson Health and Engineering Magnet School, and I chose this school over others because I wanted to become an Architect. However, through the past months I've realized that I'm not learning what I came here to learn. I assumed I would have classes focused mainly on Architecture and Engineering, instead I take classes that are part of the basic curriculum. My Geometry class is no help, as it doesn't give me the necessary information that I sought after. My Engineering class is actually a manufacturing class, one I didn't even sign up for. I also take useless classes such as Biology, a class on the Health pathway, Sociology, a class where I don't learn anything, and Spanish which I definitely don't desire. My goal is to be able to choose the classes I believe will actually benefit me in pursuing my dreams.
