Not one more life should be lost in our city. What can we do to improve our city to help alert drivers and protect our citizens? We NEED proper lighting in our neighborhoods and city streets. Crosswalks need to have flashing lights to alert drivers of a pedestrian's intent to cross. This not only a safety issue, crime rates continue to rise. Why? With poorly lit streets it make is easy to be taken advantage of in the dark. Our family and homes are targeted, and we as home owners can only do so much to protect ourselves.
