Save the UVic bunnies!

The University of Victoria is killing these friendly rabbits now!

Over 100 Rabbits have been killed already. The university doesn't want
to consider any alternatives, such as trap, neuter and release of these icons of the UVic.

Live traps, snares and poison traps were set on the athletic fields. The students, faculty and staff love these rabbits and ironically the bunnies have been used in marketing campaigns to promote the university. We demand that only non-lethal humane methods be used to control the rabbit population.

We the undersigned, urge you to stop this senseless killing of the rabbits at the University of Victoria. This is just giving the UVic an international pet killer reputation.

These rabbits are an icon of the university and they have been there for years. They are friendly and quite used to the staff, students and visitors. Everybody loves them!

We urge you to consider non- lethal options, such as trapping them, have them neuter or spay and releasing them again.

Thank you for taking your time to read this letter and for considering this non-lethal alternatives.
