台灣有兩個美麗的地景被選為事業廢棄物掩埋場場址，正瀕臨消失的危機。其中一個場址位於台南龍崎月世界，不幸地，此掩埋場開發案早已於2003年通過環評，2017年年底台南市政府又核發「部份」範圍的水土保持施工許可，距離開發只有一步之遙了。另一個即將消失土地位於高雄的馬頭山，此開發案正準備進入第二階段環評......。
我們要無止盡的開發自然資源「永久」掩埋人類活動產生的廢棄物嗎？面對目前沒有再利用技術和市場的廢棄物，政府要蓋的是應是「暫存設施」，將廢棄物適當處理後「暫存」於一室內設施，並積極開發廢棄物的再利用技術和市場，日後將暫存的廢棄物再利用，而不是永久掩埋！請一起來呼籲政府不要再蓋掩埋場了！
Two tracts of beautiful land had been chosen as industrial waste landfill sites, on the brink of disappearance forever. One of the projects is on Longchi badland area, Tainan. Environmental Impact Assessment of the project was passed in 2003. Soil and water conservation work permit covering part of the designated area had been secretly handed out by Tainan City Government in 2007. She is just a step away from being excavated. The other project, on Matou mountain, Kaohsiung, is held for second phase Environmental Impact Assessment.
Do we really need to destroy natural resources endlessly to accommodate waste induced by human activities? In face of waste for which re-utilization technology and market is not mature yet, what the government should build are "temporary storage facilities" instead of landfills. Waste should be stored after adequate disposal and re-utilized in the future,
not buried forever. Please appeal to the government with us not to build landfills anymore!
