Mancunian Tinu Collins 25 is stranded in a Kenyan hospital

Tinu Collins who comes from Manchester, has been stranded in a Kenyan women’s hospital after falling from a 5th floor apartment of her rapper boyfriend. She sustained fractures to her pelvis, leg, ankle and minor injuries to her spine. The altercation occurred after having a heated argument with her boyfriend. The boyfriend has now disappeared after being questioned by police June 2017, and it is now November 2017. Tinu has amassed £21,000 hospital bill as a consequence of her injuries. Tinu Collins has set up an account, in order that she can pay these funds directly to the hospital (please see the Tinu Collins Facebook page for more information). Tinu Collins has also stated that she will need further travel to Manchester Airport.

After months of Tinu being held against her will in a Nairobi hospital, she has now been release unconditionally. And will be returning home next week. And in time for Christmas. All the best with your next chapter Tinu xx

Contacted Amnesty international, who referred me to the Prisoners Abraid organisation/acknowledgement email
Emailed Manchester Mayors office this morning, acknowledgement email
Contacted the British Consulate (case worker is aware of Tinu’s incarceration)
Facebooked Tinu to let her know what’s happening so far
Tinu is now back on an open ward
Sorting out a twitter account this week, as the one provided is inactive
Asked Tinu to write a letter to Andy Burnham Mayor of Manchester

1. Phoned the Manchester mayors office left message on the 10th November 2017, the representative said the mayor Andy Burnham will ring back.
2. Spoke to a representative at LIBERTY, a human rights organisation 10th November 2017. The representative confirmed to call back after 18.30pm on the 13th November 2017. as there’d be a lawyer available.
