Our drinking water is being contaminated by harmful chemicals that are affecting us and aquatic animals in their natural habitat. We are continueing to see mass amounts of garbage being dumped into our bodies of water, which is making us second guess weather our water is safe to drink or not. Not only is our fresh water being contaminated, but so is our water that is presubably "safe" to drink. Studies shw that plastic water bottles are causing breast and ovarion cancer in women and young children. if the water that we rely on to survive is being cntaminated, where are we going to turn? It seems like we arent taking action on this issue and wauting until its at its wors to act upon it, but if we do not start doing something now, its onl going to get worse from here, and who knows where we'll be in 20-30 years? Will our children be able to take a drink wthout thinking twice? will we have fish left in out oceans, lakes and rivers? or will they all be dead too? we need to think about our environment before we just decide to dump trash where it doesnt belong, and continue to be oblivious to how the smallest acts can add up over time to severely affect the safety of the water that we rely on to drink.
