Please sign and share this petition worldwide in an effort to get the Italian Animal Shelters to be more selective of those they adopt their animals out to. This guy in Italy specifically adopts plump black cats from shelters only to take them home and eat them!!
Mr. Francesco F. of Italy has traveled to various animal shelters throughout his country in the past two years, specifically in search of plump, black cats to adopt, bringing 15 of them into his home during this time period! The purpose of adopting so many felines over this time was not due to his love for cats in his life but to bring them home, cook and eat them!!
This is so disturbing, bringing to light an important issue; why animal shelters do not monitor and keep an up-to-date data base of their adoptees! Maybe someone would have been alerted sooner to the intentions of this individual. It took quite some time but officials finally got some reports from various catteries. An investigation was underway when this cat killer was caught, literally in the act, ready to kill a cat for his dinner.
It is not uncommon for those in Italy to eat cats; about 500 to 600 felines are served in homes each year. Lorenzo Croce is the president of the Italian Association for the Defense of Animals and the Environment and the one who investigated the allegations presented regarding this particular cat killer. HE NEEDS TO BE PUNISHED TO THE FULL EXTENT OF THE LAW FOR EACH COUNT OF ANIMAL CRUELTY ON ALL THE CATS HE KILLED!!
Animal shelters need to improve their systems so they can monitor all adoptees and keep them on a specific database worldwide. Please sign and share this petition worldwide in an effort to get the Italian Animal Shelters to be more selective of those they adopt their animals out to so that they animals always go to a good home with loving, caring owners; not cannibals guilty of animal abuse and cruelty!
Lorenzo Croce, president of the Italian Association for the Defense of Animals and the Environment – Please work a system out with all animal shelters so that they can develop a better system before adopting out any of their animals. All potential adoptees should be fully screened and put on a database that can be viewed by any and all other shelters, which would be a red flag as to any possible abusers. You must establish a better system that would guarantee all pets go to good, loving and caring homes so that this type of horrifying story does not repeat itself!
Also, please work with local law enforcement so that this guy is punished to the full extent of the law for each and every animal he killed. He should never be allowed to own or even come within miles of another animal for as long as he lives!!!!!!!
