Demand an urgent review of the Frome Medical Practice appointments process that penalises the poor and most poorly

At Frome Medical Practice, if you don't have access to phone / internet before 9am or can't get there in person, it is impossible to make an appointment to see a GP.

This setup systematically discriminates against the poor and the most poorly.

Furthermore, for those that can get through, the automated message informs that all 'Patient Connect' appointments have been taken - whether they have or not - so people simply give up trying. Those that persevere out of desperation might eventually reach a 'Care Navigator', at which point an appointment for a doctor to phone you back might be available.

Mothers of sick babies and young children have taken to social media to voice their concerns, with one saying,

"As intense as getting tickets for Glastonbury but in reality just trying to get a phone consultation with a doctor."

Contrary to the mystifying local newspaper reports that applaud the new arrangement, I haven't met a single person who thinks the situation is anything but appalling.
