Help Shoo RideTheDucks out of Philadelphia. #QuackKills

RideTheDuck is designed around the idea that WWII amphibious war-machines make awesome 21st century family-friendly transportation. Tell that to the two Hungarian teens that drowned in the Delaware River after the Duck stalled because an employee misplaced the radiator cap or the 70 year-old woman crushed by the 10,000+ lb. vehicle while crossing an intersection in Chinatown.

How about the immense size and speed they achieve while driving through the most walking-friendly and pedestrian-packed neighborhoods in Philly. Who's the next person unlucky enough to cross an intersection on the Duckboat route and become roadkill because they were distracted by the incomparable architecture or public art? I crossed an intersection today at 15th and Arch when a Duck boat pulled up. Its 12ft tall and looks like an amphibious tank. You would think it is too big to fail but, as it's safety record shows, it's not.

After the disturbing images of the fatal accident between RideTheDucks Seattle and a charter bus last week, I call on everyone to sign this petition to pressure RideTheDuck Philadelphia to cease operating because of obvious safety flaws in their business. How many tourists must die before they are held accountable.
