People with male parts do NOT belong in women's spaces

In the ERA of TimesUP and Metoo, it pains me that male bodied people think they can gain access to womens' spaces and that DANIEL ANDREWS the Victorian Premier is promoting it.

He has put forward a bill to allow MEN to change their birth certificates to state their SEX is female, WITHOUT removing their male appendage.

People with male bodies (and appendages - not allowed to use the words on this petition) should NEVER be allowed in women's spaces.  Not in our change rooms, not in our toilets, not in our jails, not in our schools.  It allows predators to rape us.

The Petition of certain citizens of the State of Victoria draws to the attention of the Legislative Council the need to stop or prevent any changes to the current legislation on birth and death certificates in Victoria by not allowing people to change their birth gender on the basis of their personal preferences.

Gender identification should be based only on science, physiology and a person’s DNA. If allowed, such changes will only create confusion, unsafety and true inequality in our State.

These changes would legally allow born males to enrol in girls-only schools, clubs and competitions, putting in danger any sense of safety for all the born females.
Victims of rape or abuse would be denied any protection as they heal from their trauma, by being forced to question whether the people in the changing rooms, toilets and female-only sporting clubs have the physical ability to hurt them again in the same way. This is valid for Muslim communities as well.

Children will be pushed into decisions that they are not mature enough to make. Their holistic identity will waver and permanent damage will be caused. It is extremely rare that decisions made in childhood are upheld by the time that person reaches adulthood.
