Petition AGAINST Proposed NC 105 Widening

The proposed plan to widen NC 105 will displace thousands of businesses and residences in the Avery and Watauga counties. Current traffic patterns do not support the proposed plan to widen the current 2-lane highway to a 4-lane, divided highway and will cost over $103 million in federal tax-payer funds. Please encourage NCDOT and Elmo Vance to revise or forgo plans to widen NC105.
