In the capital of Chisinau, Moldova - a land so small and insignificant for the rest of the world, there is noone to take care of those, who cannot speak for themselves. Today, dear readers, I'm asking for your help.
This is a qiuck summary of facts I could find out about our city's zoo:
- Local cooks, women who feed the predators, are stealing their meat. Their salary is miserable so in order to get a little more profit or to save money on going to groceries, they often thieve the meat, so animals are treated with leavings - usually just bones.
That's why in our zoo animals are very skinny, weak and miserable.
- Animals are not treated. There are ill looking animals, that bad that even visitors can notice they need help, but noone makes a thing to help them. They live theys long days full of suffer untill they die and get replaced.
- There is not enough space in shelters. Huge animals or lots of small ones are kept in tiny little squares fighting for some space to move.
- There are no conditions to keep the existing animals, but they keep bringing new ones!

We must respect, protect and value the lives of all our fellow creatures. Can you imagine a world without them; because that is where we are headed. New laws and severe punishment must be implemented, to protect the lives of these precious animals. Allowing animals to be murdered for something as vain & unnecessary as ivory jewels or fur coats is unconscionable, or used in torturous medical testing; Whatever the abuseâ¦It Must Stop. We are running out time. Some of these amazing animals are going extinct at such a rapid rate that they will no longer be here to share this earth with the next generation of our children. PLEASE SPEAK OUT FOR THOSE WHO CANNOT SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES. Be their voice and please sign this petition.

This is a horrible existence! What good is a zoo, if the animals are being neglected! I am begging you to fix the problems and save these beautiful animals!
