Save Precious, A Pit Forced Into A Shelter After Protecting Her Injured Owner During House Fire!

On Wednesday, December 2, 2015, a fire broke out in a home in Landover Hills, Maryland. A man was injured in the fire. His loyal pit bull, Precious, stayed by his side. When EMS arrived, she showed no aggression but attempted to protect her human.

For her loyalty, Precious was rewarded by being forced into a shelter, along with her pup Molly. They are being held at the county animal shelter because pit bulls are illegal in that county.

We need to let Prince George's County know we will not tolerate these loyal and loving dogs being put into shelters or euthanized because of a law that discriminates against them for their breed! These dogs need to be sent to a no-kill shelter where they will have a chance at the good life they deserve or returned to their owner!
Update #18 years ago
Precious and Molly have been adopted by their human's sister who lives outside the county. Yay! Apparently, the sister also has dogs and says Precious and Molly are more than welcome there. Thank you for signing, everyone!!
