I think you should stop smoking because when teenagers find out you are smoking they could say "oh if the president is smoking, why cant i?" and that could kill them in the future. PLEASE STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think Mr. Obama should stop smoking because not only does it kill you eventually, but, it's telling all those people who are inspired by him, that smoking is ok to do. Also, he is telling teenagers to lie (or avoid the truth) with their parents, if they ask if they are smoking.
This is a really important issue. The president needs to set an example for his daughters and for all children -- as well as other adults! -- that smoking is a terrible habit. It is a health risk for all of us when other people smoke.
Smoking is not cool! Our president should not be a smoker, and he shouldn't be engaging in behavior that he has to lie about and hide.

Please Stop Smoking in public and Private places. My Son is 8 and struggles with Bronchitis Asthma every year. We would like to be able to sit in a restaurant or go in the public with out him having to breath in the deadly smoke that could set him into a pulmonary resesitation.
Please Stop the abuse on children that have to be around the smoking that should be against the law as it is in Canada to smoke near a child. Make it illegal to smoke in public and private places to protect those that don't smoke.
I've had family members die from smoking...my uncle used to smoke and got lung cancer, and then my aunt died from second-hand smoke. Seeing you smoke is upsetting. Smoking only leads to poor health as well as poor hygiene and is difficult to quit but NOT impossible. It can be done. With some strong will power, you can accomplish anything.
He is sposed to set an amazing example. Most people are going to start looking up to him now. So if kids see him smoking their going to be so young they wont know what to do, which means they will probally start. All my opinion is, is he needs to be a good role model. And smoking is bad for your body. So hes pretty much killing himself and chanceing on killing others

I think you should quit because everyone in my family smokes and it kills me to see them smoke because i know that they will eventually die faster then they would of old age.My mother,my father,all my aunts,all my uncles, and grandmother.You should quit. I dont mean to be rude or personal or anything i just want you to stop smoking..but.. think about your family.What would it do to your wife and children if you died or got cancer?
I have several family members who have fought cancer and two have died. My mother died last year due to lung cancer the cause was once again smoking. So many people in the world die each day to Lung Cancer or a Cancer caused by Smoking... So QUIT NOW while you still have a chance.
I believe that everyone has a number and once there number is called it is there time to go. when it comes to smoking you loose your number and when the disease wants to kill you it will. So dont let your family and your two daughters suffer the pain of hearing you cough or not be able to sleep because one day ur number will be called and we want that to be 40-50 years from now not tomorrow.

Dear Mr. President, I like you alot. you have good morals, a good politition, and a good taste in music. I go to redmond high school in oregon and im only 17 years of age. I recently quit smoking because my grandfather got cancer. I started when i was 7 years old. I have been smoking longer than some adults and honestly its kind of scary. i dont want to see the President of the United States go down for the same thing my grandfather is going under for.
