For those of you that are concerned about the rampant cases of child abuse, kidnapping and murder of children in the U.S. We demand Laws to be changed to protect innocent children. The Death Penalty should be enacted for any person found guilty of severe child abuse, kidnapping that leads to death of a child, etc. Children are a Gift from God, every day in the U.S. there is a child killed. What a disgrace for the greatest country in the world, that allows pedophiles and murdering mothers off the hook. What is this three times you are gone? Once is ENOUGH. It has been proven over and over, pedophilia can not be cured. How many deaths from the same offender do we need, to understand this? I for one, and I do not believe I am alone, say we have had enough. It is time to make laws that will not tolerate any harm of a child. Only then can we call this Nation great again.

There should be stiffer laws-more extended as if commenting manslaughter for child abuse and life in prison without hope of parole if a person kills a child or commits a sexual act with or on a child. Children are innocent victims every day. The foster homes turn out to be 30% bad and there is a shortage of good ones. We need more workers to keep these children under their care while in foster care. We need people who will be good foster parents to these angels (it can be tough but rewarding). Do not return children to abusive or drug habit parents/guardians/grandparents/etc. No amount of therapy helps them to be able to care for a child/children. Therapy takes years for these kids to feel safe as it is. Find them a home else where which ='what is in the best interest of the child' part of the law governing where a child should be placed. While in a big city up north I was an emergency foster person and I had all three cases that I took care of, returned to the abusive parent. This is uncalled for. Is the government just trying to save money by sending these poor souls back into bad situations that sometimes lead to their death? Saving money with blood on it would be a great discription of a budget that sends these children back. Shame on our goverment for letting it happen. It has been over fifteen years for me and nothing has changed by the news I see that it has just gotten worse. Something wrong with a nation that lets these crimes to continue. Shame on our government body who do not toughen up the laws in regards to any type of abuse to children, especially when it leads to a child's death. Please hear the cries of the ones who are still alive and in bad need of help from 'the land of the free'. And pray for the ones who lost their lives waiting for the laws to get better at protecting them.

My dad was mudered 3 years ago and was searching the internet to give me strength because the man that killed him got away with it and the judge will not listen to our wrongful death case, because he beat the state of Texas, that was the judge's reponse. My heart goes out to the children and their families. Sensless crimes. Thank God that he sent his only begotten son.

As a mother of two kids I find it appalling that these monsters are given any rights and considerations! If they commit any acts against children then they need all of their rights taken away and they need to be put to death if they kill a child. It seems like the law is more concerened about their rights and their protection than it is about the safety and lives of our children. Its time to start dealing with the CRISIS in our own country and find a way to keep these monsters from harming our children. There is not being enough done to prevent either. I am absolutely disgusted by our laws in this country when it comes to protecting our little one's. When someone has abused, raped, or hurt our children in any manner they should pay severely for thier crimes. I personally think that when someone has sexually abused a child they should be locked up permanently. Time has proved over and over that there is NO rehabilitating those people. They serve a few years and are out again hurting more children. If they have raped our littleones they should pay with their lifes...period!! They shouldnt set on death row for years and years either; they should be taken out of the court room and executed immediately.

I think that any one who take's the life of a child should not be able to see the light of another day. It take's a very sick person to do hurt and/or kill a child and that person should not have any rights at all and thay should not be able to walk free with the rest of us.

I am a retired Emergency Room and was involved in many child abuse cases. The one I remember most was the death of a little 5 year old boy in 1976. He and his sister had been abused by their step-father for some time and the mother didn't protect them. They both received prison time with his dying in prison and she receiving 15 years. I am a retired Emergency Room and was involved in many child abuse cases. The one I remember most was the death of a little 5 year old boy in 1976. He and his sister had been abused by their step-father for some time and the mother didn't protect them. They both received prison time with his dying in prison and she receiving 15 years. Honorable Members of the U.S. Legislature, I cannot tell you how many times I read online on a daily basis the number of kids in the United States that have been kidnapped or abducted on a daily basis. Some kids are recovered within days, others are reported missing never to be seen or heard of again or we hear the dreaded news broadcast via the media that the missing child's body has been recovered by authorities. I have asked myself countless times, the United States is a first world country how could this situation spiral out of hand?! This situation is alarming. Evaluate the investigative methods being used by all law enforcement agencies when "sussing" out the facts of each case and what are the "restrictions" that hamper the efforts of law enforcement officials taking the case one or even three steps further than what protocols will permit. There is a "system" failure somewhere along the line. Your assistance in improving "the system" of protecting children would be greatly appreciated.

It makes me sick that children have to suffer. Children are suppose to be free spirited and enjoy life. I have to be so careful about everything that involves my kids.
