Term limits for senators and house members
Why should the most important position in the land , the president, have term limits but not the two houses of congress. When people can serve 20 plus years in office, it slows the growth of our politics and our country as a whole. The phrase out with the old in with the new, should apply to all politics. Fresh faces bring in new and sometimes improved ideas. As it stand now, the old timers in Washington are trying to bring us back 50 years. All Democrats and Republicans should only be able to serve 5 two year terms in the House and 2 six year terms in the Senate.
We the undersigned, would like you the people of the House and Senate, to get rid of this Medeval style way of politics. Where serving in Washington becomes a life time job. Fresh faces are good for the country. They bring in new and improved ideas, where those who served for 12 plus years bring the same old same old way of doing it. Please put away your pride and step down when your term limits would end. We are glad for all yall did while in Washington, but there comes a time to step down and let the next generation take the rains. We find that those in the House should serve 5 two year terms and those in the senate should serve 2 six years. We thank you for your time in reading this and hopefully you listen to the people on this issue, both republican and demcrat. And perhaps some tea part members.
