Demand that the UN protect the Syrian people!

  • by: Ann W.
  • recipient: The United Nations Security Council

According to Human Rights Watch (HRW) a state of emergency is on the horizon that will reach the heights of the Rwanda devastation unless the Security Councils deadlock on what to do about Syrian people ends soon.

According to its call for action: “The guardian of international peace and security has failed to fulfill its task under the UN Charter and has failed to uphold its responsibility to protect the Syrian people.”

More than 250,000 people are trapped as unlawful attacks are levied against areas containing these helpless civilians in Eastern and Western Aleppo. As a result, 223 civil society organizations are asking for an emergency special session to address this dire situation.

These civil organizations are asking for immediate humanitarian access to save lives and prevent disaster. They are also asking for members to seek ways to bring serious crimes under international law to justice.

Please sign this petition urging the UN to do its duty under the UN Charter and protect these helpless Syrian people!

To Whom it May Concern:

We (the undersigned) implore you to support the call to action from the 223 organizations asking for an end to the Security Councils deadlock and allow them access to provide desperately needed humanitarian aide to the Syrian people currently trapped and under unlawful attack in Eastern and Western Alepp. We also join them is asking that criminal charges be brought against those committing such atrocities!

Sincerely,
