Stop Epidemic of Military Rape!

UPDATE: Please see important documentary trailer:

"The Invisible War"

Fourteen female military service members have filed a lawsuit charging the Pentagon with “turning a blind eye” to rape victims who report their attacks.

These rapes are growing in number because the Pentagon has failed to enact policies that prevent retaliation against the rape victims and allowing the rapists to escape unpunished.

Thousands of women have been assaulted. Some endure drugging and gang rape by fellow and superior officers. In at least one instance, the rape was digitally recorded and uploaded to a porn website.

Representative Jackie Speier of California (D) has spoken before Congress 20-times about these human rights violations to little avail. This cannot be tolerated!

As long as these violent acts against women continue - without serious punishment - the epidemic will continue. We need to tell the Pentagon to stop the epidemic of rape by holding the perpetrators accountable and protecting the victims!

Dear Secretary Panetta,

One of the most vile human rights issues facing our military is the epidemic of rape! Most often, the rapist is not only NOT jailed, his victim is forced to continue to work along side him.

Throughout our nation's history, women have provided the armed services with invaluable support. Respect their sacrifices and enact policy changes to make it easier for a rape victim to come forward and to make the punishment fit the crime!

Sincerely,
