Church and related property taxation

Churches are exempt from taxes due to freedom of religion issues, to prevent hardships for the free establishment and practice of one's religion. They now, as a whole in america, make billions of dollars a year from donations and investments. They are a business.

They pay no taxes, yet use freely all services paid for by taxpayers.. whether or not those taxpayers believe or worship in those religions. Most major churches invest huge sums of moneys in cathedrals or church buildings or private propertys and then make huge sums of moneys back from their investments. They are a bussiness.

In the earliest days of our country, after escaping the churches power in england, this ruling might have made sence... but now it is beyond justification when the economy is as bad as it is and the biggest business outside of weapons manufactoring is not being taxed equally as other businesses are being. Signing this petition will let the government know we are tired of being unfairly taxed in this issue, for we are , in essence, paying the share that they should be paying too.
