In Archbold schools they want us to express ourselves and be comfortable in our surroundings. While they proclaim they want us to express ourselves we are forced to take our facial piercings out for school or there will be consequences as in suspension or detention. The arguments we hear are that piercings are "distracting" but I have never had any problem with facial piercing and are far from distracting unless you are intensely starring at it. In school ear piercings are acceptable but not facial piercings when I believe that big dangly hoops are more distracting then a little diomand or hoop in your lip or nose. I am starting this petition in hope of getting enough signatures of people who believe peircings are not distracting and support self expression to help bring this situation to an understanding and to allow facial piercings in schools.
