Dear Sirs: I am an enormous fan of Allan Jones! And finding his later, more obscure films is virtually impossible! We all know him from The Marx Bros. movies and "The Firefly", but it would be nice to see his later work for Universal, as well. I did myself find a very obscure copy of "Rhythm of the Islands" from a very obscure-collector, living in a very-obscure apartment in an obscure part of the Valley. But the quality stinks -- and God knows where it must have come from! Still, it was interesting. A great voice and a great screen presence, and well-deserves to be remembered! I come from a musical show-business - film background: My grandfather, M.K. Jerome, was a composer at Warner Bros. during those same-years of the 30's & 40's, but unfortunately he and Mr. Jones never worked-together! There are innumerable choices of movies for the younger generations to enjoy. The aging movie fans are not so taken with the choices. Please give us a glimpse of our youth and a little pleasure from "the good old days". Allan Jones had a beautiful voice and a special charm that caused our hearts to skip a beat.
