Dear Mr. Presidents:
For all the children and all the elephants in the world, we ask you from our hearts: Please stop the elephant poaching in Africa and the illegal ivory trade in China.
Poachers in Africa are killing elephants because many people in China, as well as other Asian countries are buying ivory, which comes from the tusk of the elephant. If poachers keep killing elephants at this rate, then they will be extinct before we are out of high school.
Would you like a world without elephants?
Can you imagine a world without elephants?
Poachers in Africa are killing thousands of elephants each year. The population of African forest elephants has already been cut in half since we were born.
By the year 2020, if poaching does not stop, elephants could become extinct.
Illegal ivory comes from elephant tusks. When people stop buying ivory, elephants will stop dying.
We are asking all children and adults to sign this letter with us.
