Politely Requesting a Change in the Tipshare Payout from Pubkeeps

This is to persuade corporate to re-evaluate the tipshare policy paid from the Pubkeep. Assuming that the policy is consistent at all J. Alexander locations. The current policy is unfair for pubkeep for two reasons. 1) Morning shift pubkeeps are not being tipped out for service well drinks made for servers 2) Pubkeeps are being charged for serves not being rendered.

Example: A thursday morning shift pubkeep received two tables all day (tipped $6 on one table and $12 on the other). Over 50% of the restaurant was ordering alcoholic beverages, so service well was very busy. The pubkeep was made to tip out $28 for the two tables received, which is more than the tips made on the tables, and no profits were made for all the service well drinks made for servers.

At night, no tables are given to the Pubkeeps, yet $30-$60 is tipped out each night for services not rendered from the hosti. For most Pubkeep, who work 3-5 shifts a week, this is over $100 a week per Pubkeep being paid out for services we are not using. On top of not being paid for services we are rendering to servers. This quickly adds uo to $400-$450 a month per Pubkeep. Thousands of dollars a year that we are paying for something we are not receiving. This situation would be no different than having management pay tipshare.

Thus, we are politely requesting this policy be revised. Posibble suggestions could be to not have a designated service well pubkeep. Instead, have all pubkeeps get tipshare once a week based on the hours worked. Also, Pubkeep not being charged tipshare unless tables are received. If tables are received, have tipshare be solely based on those tables.
