Equal Parenting Rights

When children are born between two parents under a traditional long term marriage the noncustodial parent should be entitled to equal parental rights with their children. Why should equal parenting rights be revoked simply due to a divorce? Children need both parents in their lives equally, especially if they are accustom to having both parents in their daily lives. In the Family Law System the noncustodial parent is usually given Joint Custody which allows him or her to see their children on alternating weekends with limited rights towards the children's education and healthcare if any at all.

I am asking for people take take a stand against children being deprived of their parents due to the Family Law Legal System. Joint Custody is not a reasonable form of custody for noncustodial parents who played a vital role in their children's lives before a divorce battle and Split Custody be only given to noncustodial parents who were not married to the custodial parent or to noncustodial parents who had children during a short term relationship. It's time to make the Family Legal System do it's job of protecting families, and time for we the people to stop the Family Legal System from destroying it.
