Demand a joined up cycle network between Huntingdon and St Ives

The A1123 is a busy main road between St Ives and Huntingdon, and the main commuter route connecting two of the largest towns in the district. Much of the route is flat and ideal for cycling. However, there is no joined-up, fit-for-purpose cycle path along this road. Building a viable cycle path along this stretch of road could reduce the number of cars going between the two towns, help to improve journey times and reduce air pollution.  Now the government has announced a new fund for improving cycling, Cambridgeshire County Council could bid for some of this pot to build this path, repair sections of existing path, to encourage cycling instead of driving.
