STOP KILLING BEARS IN BULGARIA! They are already endangered species

    Pleaсe support our efforts for raising awareness and inducing to effective action authorities against these and many other "proud hunters" of protected. And demand more strict regulation for protection of our wild nature.

Dear Ms Hardalova,
We ask you to pay attention to the following act, which under the undersigned appears at variance with several law regulations. We expect with the authority given to you along with your position to arrange about the needed measures and to approach the prosecutor's office.
At the beginning of February 2012 a brown bear (Ursus arctos) has been shot at the region "Lugut" near the town Sevlievo. The people involved in the shooting are:
- Dobrin Zaekov (born on the 5 July 1987, currently living in Gabrovo)

Under article 37 of the Law for the biological diversity and enclosure 3 of the same law the brown bear is a protected species on the territory of the entire country.
In the case of murder of a brown bear article 278d of the criminal code and financial penalties are applied, prescribed under article 125 of the Law for Biological Diversity.
Exceptions are permitted only when there is a license given by the Minister of Agriculture and Food under article 54 of the Law for Hunting and Game.
