Mistreatment of tenants at woman's VOA shelter

Dawn Kirk has been nothing but rude, disrespectful, verbally abusive and aggressive as well as violent. on 8/8/24 me and my wife Billie got into a discretion and we sawt out counseling from dawn Kirk, the information she provided was helpful to the situation but she during the interaction she got increasingly violent and verbally abusive targeting me saying such things as "I'm a bad husband". On 8/12/14 I went and asked dawn for a meal ticket for me and my 8 1/2 month pregnant wife. We were informed that as long as she receives food stamps that the are no longer aloud to issue us one and to walk to a church for a dinner in the rain, I explained to her that I called rights to emergency legal service and I was never added to her case so she never received funding to support herself the baby and me which caused her to run short of funds early. Since I was not added to her case an do not receive any kind of income or assistance I was entitled to a food ticket which I was denied as well. My wife's doctor had informed her that she is not to continue walking the distance to reach such places due do the fact it could induce early labor, I told dawn Kirk this and she immediately got hostel towards me so I told her that I have contacted legal aid and the hostility increased dramatically. She continued on telling me not to threaten her all the while screaming in my face while I kept a calm demeanor explaining to her I wasn't threatening her I was just explaining the situation at hand. Dawn Kirk told me to get out so I left and waited outside. About 10 minutes later she came out to hand me a community meal sheet saying she spoke to her supervisor and he is behind her 100% an to stop with the threats in which I replied calmly that I was not trying to threaten her and that we would still proceed with the legal course of action. Dawn kirks reaction was appalling and unprofessional, she looked at my wife, pointed to me and said I hope you are seeing this because your stuck with this for the rest of your life and he is going to treat you like shit. She continued with the verbal barrage of insults and abuse towards me then told me that I am a rude, disrespectful, passive-aggressive individual and that just because I keep my tone calm doesn't mean I'm polite and respectful. She continued saying that I am no longer aloud to talk or communicate to staff or her anymore do to the amount of disrespect I had given her. Dawn headed back inside and there were people around me asking why she was talking to me like that. Dawn came back out seeing the people outside talking to me and said you better not be standing out her causing trouble in response I said I'm just standing here to which she stated well I know how you like to run your mouth, I replied simply that I was not doing anything wrong and said I thought you didn't want anymore communication between us anymore in which time she got verbally abusive again telling me that I was passive aggressive,rude and disrespectful again and threatened to kick me and my wife out even though we have broken no rules and haven't given anyone problems since we have been here.
