Due to a lack of oversight by Vice President of Student Affairs, Deb Moriarty, the Towson University Student Government Association now has a deficit of $258,000. The VP of Student Affairs expects the current administration of SGA to eliminate this deficit in one fiscal year. This would result in a dramatic decrease in funding to scholarships, student organizations, and other various funds provided by the SGA. We are creating this petition to allow the students to hold the VP of Student Affairs accountable for this deficit, which has accumulated over many years. Our hope is that we can eliminate this deficit over a period of time, rather than one fiscal year.
