If you've visited the official site http://www.stopc51.com/ then you know it is imperative that you sign this petition and have everyone you know sign it too. This does not stop at just vitamins and supplements but goes beond our freedom to grow oregano in our own back yard - based on what I've read so far, they can walk in your home based on suspicion and TAKE away anything that resembles a vitamin, herb that "could" have a potential health benefit. Even the fact that you may have something as natural as a dandelions on your front yard. Going all the way to exercise equipment needing a prescription!!! What?

Bill C-51 is a step towards CODEX ALIMENTARIUS being established in Canada. It is NOT about concern for people's health in Canada, it's about TRADE! I do not think allowing the World Trade Organization (WTO) the power to decide what I can and cannot put into my body based on INTERNATIONAL CORPORATE INTERESTS is in any way related to the protection of my health and well being! In fact, it is completely CONTRARY TO IT! These are the same people who told us fluoride and aspartame were harmless! These same people promote DEADLY vaccines for all!

I fully understand the need for a government to control it's people especially when it comes to "health" care. It is very difficult to control and brainwash a bunch of healthy and happy people. The fact that control and brainwashing are still very important components of a government structure is just plain tired, sad, used-up, and more importantly, a friggin' embarassment to humanity. If the government is so determined on controlling health, it should do it internally. Make sure all government officials and reps use only pharmaceutical drugs and surgery for their "well-being" and leave the rest of use alone.

Where has liberty gone you wish to take away all our rights. You forget that God created those herbs for mankind to eat, read Genisis. If its good enough for God then who are you to take away our rights to grow herbs and eat them for our good health. I would much rather take vitamins than you poisenous tablets which polute the water we drink read on line how traces are in our drinking water. And genetic foods get a grip you are destroying the foods God created for us to eat my your engineered foods cross polunating with them.If you pass this law there is no hope for the world as we are just starting to learn how to become more healthy by such things as vitamins and herbs health destroyed by conventional medications and thinking.

I have been taking supplements for many years and want to keep my freedom to do so. I am strong and healthy and only go to the doctor for my annual checkup. The only reason the government wants to interfere with our freedom is because they are not getting enough profit from the alternative health care sector. I am so tired of the government trying to regulate everything that I do. I have used supplements that have benefitted my health far more than Dr. recommended drugs. I believe that I should be able to make my own choices for my health.

Taking away our freedom to choose between natural cures and prescriptions is unacceptable. I should be able to control the chemicals that enter my body. It is however my body. I am a 43 year old mother with chronic Crohns/Colitis disease since my early 20's. I had followed conventional treatment prescribed by western medicine practitioners for many years with poor results(steriods,surgery,etc...). My mother introduced me to holistic methods of treatment(vitamins & alternative physical treatment) which I believe saved my life & at the very least improved my quality of life. I also have a child diagnosed with autistic spectrum disorder that was prescribed prozac at the age of 8 years old. He developed depression and obesity as a result. Through holistic methods my son is becoming happier & healthier. I was shocked when I first heard about this offensive bill last week from a co-worker. My prayer is that more people will be made aware of this atrocity and infringement on our rights to choose how we heal ourselves.
