If you've visited the official site http://www.stopc51.com/ then you know it is imperative that you sign this petition and have everyone you know sign it too. This does not stop at just vitamins and supplements but goes beond our freedom to grow oregano in our own back yard - based on what I've read so far, they can walk in your home based on suspicion and TAKE away anything that resembles a vitamin, herb that "could" have a potential health benefit. Even the fact that you may have something as natural as a dandelions on your front yard. Going all the way to exercise equipment needing a prescription!!! What?

I believe that the government has too much control over us already. When it comes to what "VITAMINS AND HERBS" I want to take or give to my family to benefit our health, the government has no right to interfere. Time to stand firm on our rights and not allow the government to come into our homes anymore. This is suppose to be a democracy not a dictatorship!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't feel it is the Governments right to remove an alternative health choice. I thought this was a democratic country. I have yet to hear of someone overdosing and dying from an overdose of vitamins, herbs, etc. We need this alternative health care and shoud have the right to choose. Please stop this bill.

I thought we lived in a democratic society but it is becoming more of a communist state. Is this the end of our freedom...to care for ourselves the way we want to? Look at all those medications that are toxic, everything from Crestor to Celebrex. I wrote to the United States Government and got a response from 50 senators. I wrote to the NDP, Liberals and the Bloc here in my very own country and even in my riding and did I get a response...NO and it has been a week that I am waiting. All these bills being passed behind our backs; shame on you!

hello my name is julia semerikov i just recently married 3 years ago and a have a beutiful baby boy andrian he is about 1 now.and when he was 3 months old i found out he had eczema like most mothers they rush to the doctors not me! not that i have anything against them its some of the stuff they prescribe that are so strong and is not very necassary. the reason why i did this is becuase i see so many babies with this condition and are so miserable with the scratching, screaming and the only thing doctors can give is a cream! THAT DOESNT EVEN HELP OR CURE IT well i basically cured my son he hasnt brook out in rashes in 7 months and i can feed him whatever he wants becuase before he couldnt have milk,grains and nuts and the only thing that helped is natural products. so you see if this bill goes through were will i buy my products what would i do! my son would be miserable and screaming telling me everyday that it herts and i wouldnt be able to do anything about it.

I thought that we live in a country that gives us choices. Choices of what kind of care we want to take on our own lives. What is next telling us what to eat and where to buy and oh by the way you have to stand in line for your bread you eat. The government is getting way too greedy. They should mind buisness at hand like the homeless or children that live in poverty and their education. I just cannot believe I live in a country that would take a huge choice away from the public. This is going to make some items so expensive that people won't be able to afford it. I was very proud of where I live and when I found out about this bill I was horrified. I am just so afraid of what's next!!! Shame on the people whomever thought of this crazy bill. What do they care they can afford it. I use peppemint oil and other products from the health food store and I cannot believe that they would use health care money to go to the doctor to get a percription just for peppermint oil or anything else in the store for that matter. Lets get real government!!

I'm a new mother who struggled to get my son delivered by a mid-wife (due to the limited number of mid wives in Quebec). My approach to life is to live drug-free and as natural as possible. Not having access to natural and alternative medicine or supplements would make my life a daily struggle and as such I would truly consider leaving the country to live elsewhere (as I have dual citizenship). The natural supplement and medicine industry may have its share of companies wanting to exploit the industry, but know that those of us who do our research only purchase from the reputable companies like Vogel. Not to mention our Naturopaths and Nutritionists advise us well. Please DO NOT take my freedom of choice away! Natural supplements and medicine has done much less harm then conventional medicine. Regulate the latter and promote natural and healthy living. -Anita Oreskovic
