Apparently, Donald Trump has a short memory. By the mid-1980s, Muammar Abu Minyar al-Kaddafi (AKA: al-Gaddafi) was widely regarded in the West as the principal financier of international terrorism. Gaddafi was (or still is) a strong supporter of the Palestine Liberation Organization. Notable in Gaddafi's politics has been his support for self-styled liberation movements, and also his sponsorship of rebel movements in West Africa, notably Sierra Leone and Liberia, as well as Muslim groups. Additionally, Gaddafi was held responsible for: (1) the loss of 270 victims on Pan Am Flight 103, which exploded over Lockerbie, Scotland (2) the 1986 Berlin discotheque bombing, resulting in the loss of 3 lives & and wounding more than 200, of whom a substantial number were U.S. servicemen. (3) more American victims of the 1989 UTA Flight 772 bombing, and (4) Libyan victims of the 1986 US bombing of Tripoli and Benghazi. (5) Reportedly, Gaddafi was a major financier of the "Black September Movement" which perpetrated the Munich massacre at the 1972 Summer Olympics. Gaddafi has never been trustworthy and he never will be.
