Dear Congress,
We the undersigned are Pro-Life and Pro-choice men and women that are urging you to put an end the public display of obscene, gory, and grotesque abortion pictures that the extremist pro-life protester use. There is no reason for them to be waving this horrific pictures where children are able to see them. There have been too many children that have seen these pictures. We are asking of you to put a ban on the public display of these pictures. we do not wish for our children to have to see pictures that look like that came right out of a horror movie. We have a rating for the shows on the television, movies, video games, comics. Individuals under the age of 18 aren't allowed in strip clubs. They cannot buy porn, or other items. We are asking something simple. take the grotesque pictures off the billboards, take them off the bus ads, don't allow the extremist to be able to use those pictures as a banners or signs where children can see them.

I agree with my daughter on this. I think more people need to raise their views and concerns on this situation. Children do not need to see these pictures.

I actually drove past these protestors today in Bridgeville, PA and had to have my 5 year old daughter cover her eyes. I actually was so offended that I went to the police and they said they completely agree with me but they are protected by the constitution. I am not saying that I am for or against abortion but regardless of your views, you do not need to parade around with these disgusting blown up pictures of fetus'. It is an adult situation and no children should have to see those pictures and no parent should have to explain to their child what those pictures are. Those protestors should be ashamed of themselves!!!

I was on my way to work this morning with my two year old in here car seat. We stoped at Route 1, near the target, at the 7:30 AM. She and I were faced with the most horrific images of children that I have ever saw in my entire life. These childern did not have chance for life. My child is very intelligent for her age and can idenify amoung other things all of her letters, shapes amd numbers. However, she would never understand how and why a man would be holding a gigantic picture of a baby with the lower half his face missing, covered in blood. You have the right to protest, but don't impede upon my child right to healthy childhood. The message of life is important, why show images of death.

It is and should be up to parents to decide when our children are ready to see gory pictures. Why is it ok to force my child to see pictures of an aborted fetus but its not ok for me to have the choice to have the abortion in the first place? People like that claim to be pro-life but in reality they are just sick people who like to torture children and give them nightmares with graphic pictures.

When i was in 4th grade visiting my capital i saw a tall banner of these gory pictures. I was traumatized. while the national anthem was being sung all i could think about or look at was that gory pictures not even knowing what they were. that day a bill was being voted on that would cut abortion clinics federal funds.

These signs are offensive and divisive. They serve no productive purpose, political or otherwise.

I just want to say that I am in no way in support of abortion, but as a woman that's not even 25 and has been trying to conceive with my husband for 2 years and has "naturally" lost a baby, it is hard for me to see people that aren't at a place in their lives be parents that are parents. But this is beyond disturbing and heart breaking for us women out there that lost our babies it makes that memory a million times harder to see these pictures. Yes in the US we have the ability of Freedom of Speech, but is it really using your "Freedom" wisely when you are potently damaging those children that see it.

Simple respect is all we ask. Abortion is a highly personal issue and should be treated as such, not blasted in people's faces. In the state of Washington it is AGAINST THE LAW to HARRASS or BULLY and the actions of these poeple are doing both. A lawsuit is awaiting around the corner

These tactics employed by the anti-abortion protesters go too far. I am all for freedom of speech but I also believe in freedom of choice. Children and even adults should have the choice to NOT see these terrible images as well as the freedom to choose when and how children learn about abortion and birth control.

I am signing this petition to stop these sign so no one else has to be traumatized by them. I have had to sit in my car helpless as these signs are paraded around infont of my children and myself. They have caused nightmares for my children. The pain this gives to women, like myself, who have suffered a misscarriage. I have nightmares and can't even drive to the grocery store without having to see these signs. The slim handle I had on my emotions is getting harder and harder to hold due to the constant assault by these signs.

It is wrong to traumatize children in the name of saving a fetus that presumably isn't wanted. There are better ways of decreasing the abortion rate, including more comprehensive sex education in school (with parental consent, not like these tactics), and better access to birth control so these unwanted pregnancies do not happen in the first place, until the parents are ready, willing, and able to care for a child.

It isnt that I am pro any thing, except protecting our living children of all ages from the offensive photos they are forced to see on the way to school...to the movies and to the park.s

It is imperative that this gets signed into a law. There is absolutely no reason to subject our children to these type of obscenely grotesque and graphic signs. These signs cause a bully-effect in where people cannot drive down their neighborhood road because they can't bear to see these images. We cannot just "look away" as I have been told to do before as they position them so that you have no choice to look. They are on street corners where a responsible driver must look to see if pedestrians are crossing, etc. This is NOT first amendment. If this is allowed to continue, where will the line be drawn. In most forums where this would be allowed, citizens have the ability to not see, etc...here there is no option as they are forced upon us. There are women who are falling into depression becase of the sensitive nature of what they have gone through and what these pictures represent to them. These picture do absolutely more harm than they could ever do good. How can mangled, bloody, ripped up bodies of unborn fetuses be acceptably shown in public and at the same time be covered as legal. Playboy is the first amendment but still cannot be just open to public viewing...I am sure there is something that can be done.
