Dear Congress,
We the undersigned are Pro-Life and Pro-choice men and women that are urging you to put an end the public display of obscene, gory, and grotesque abortion pictures that the extremist pro-life protester use. There is no reason for them to be waving this horrific pictures where children are able to see them. There have been too many children that have seen these pictures. We are asking of you to put a ban on the public display of these pictures. we do not wish for our children to have to see pictures that look like that came right out of a horror movie. We have a rating for the shows on the television, movies, video games, comics. Individuals under the age of 18 aren't allowed in strip clubs. They cannot buy porn, or other items. We are asking something simple. take the grotesque pictures off the billboards, take them off the bus ads, don't allow the extremist to be able to use those pictures as a banners or signs where children can see them.

Those people should be arrested for obsenity. Those people are the same one's who think Donald Duck is obsene for not wearing pants, BUT feel it necessary to stand on a street corner displaying full blown pics of dismembered fetuses. They are the same ones who protest sex ed. in school. So, let us teach our kids in our own way. The extremists have no respect for others, especially children. A million shames to you!

I am pro-life, but i do not believe that we should scar our children by showing them pictures that they do not understand and that scare them. They do not understand what the picture is representing, they only see a dismembered baby and that could scar them for life. Again, I am pro-life and do not believe in abortion, but I believe that we should protect our children.

I think it is ridiculous that people are allowed to display the kind of graphic images which are employed by anti-choice advocated outside of abortion clinics. The people who resort to this kind of imagery have no regard who will see it, they merely are trying to force their morals onto other individuals. Often times minor children will see these images and it can have devastating effects on them. Where is the censorship where it matters most?

No matter what your stance, children do not need to see these types of pictures.

Weither you are pro-life or pro-choice this is still wrong. I believe that the unborn baby is still a child and I am only for abortions if the mother's life is at risk. However, to attempt to save children while scarring the minds of other children with these disgusting posters is wrong.

To this day my daughter is traumatized by a very graphic poster a protester had. We were on our way to my OB appointment , she was very excited because it was her special day to see her baby brother that was living in mommy's tummy. As I turned onto the main road her happiness turned to fear and disgust. right on the corner next to her window was a huge sign with a photograph of a bloody , aborted fetus (i can only guess but it looked to be a late term abortion picture). This "poster" was at least 3foot wide by 5 foot tall. Now ,whenever we go near the intersection where we witnessed it she gets upset and closes her eyes. That is unacceptable. This is NOT about pro-life vs. pro-choice , this is about graphic material no child needs to see yet protesters get away with it every day.Television networks and radio stations have restrictions placed on them on their content and during what hours- why can't these protesters as well?

Free speech does not include holding up posters of dead, mutilated adult murder victims for children to see with the hopes that it will persuade them not to become murderers themselves when they grow up therefore it should not include holding up dead, mutilated fetuses for children to see with the hopes that they will not get abortions when they grow up. Showing bodily dismemberment of any kind to children is WRONG!!!

I'm Pro Life.Showing these pictures to our children is Shameful. It is our responsibility as parents to inform minds positively not harmfully.Hurting a child to save another is wrong no matter your stance on abortion

I do not approve of my children being forced to see such gore thrown in their faces and should not have to explain to them why they have seen this pictures. Where I live they (pro-lifers) actually have a HUGE billboard alon the road with a dead baby on it. Granted they have a line through it but it is still obvious what the picture is, I should not have to explain this to my three boys they are too young to understand and frankly until they are much older should not have to deal with this issue.

There are reasonable censors on what is available through media--the same controls need to be applied to the material used to promote individual group agendas.

I am pro-life but I do not agree with using shock factors, scare tactics and other in-your-face nonsense to manipulate the public. We are a G-rated family and my children do NOT need to see the gory pictures on the trucks and billboards. I don't want to have to explain abortion to my 8 yr old, 4 yr old and baby daughters before they are ready to understand because some horrific picture is parked next to us at a stoplight in traffic. By putting these pictures on public display you are taking away my right and MY CHOICE to not show them to my children.

This is a grown up matter, graphic images should be kept away from children until they can understand the matters relating to those images, same goes for images of individuals being tortured, crucified on a cross as we can see in many pictures widely displayed in public places, jewelry, personal accessories etc. worn by "believers". Since we have a rating system for movies, games, magazines etc. this matter should be subject to some kind of scrutiny too. It amazes me to no extent that images of religious character are "ok" to display, no matter how groosome and disturbing they are to everyone, including children.

We don't allow our children to see rated R movies, or play gory video games, to protect them from things they're not yet mature enough to handle. Yet, people trying to push a cause will shove bloodied, ripped apart corpse pictures in the faces of these children. It's NOT okay.

They cannot shove these graphic pictures onto our children and them taunt us for choosing to shield their eyes. They cannot make our children look at something that is inappropriate for their ages. They can not attack a car and shove those pictures onto the windshield of others' cars.
