As many of us know, dog fighting is on the increase worldwide.
It is illegal and very cruel to the dogs involved in the fighting but also to the dogs that are stolen from people that are unaware that the stolen dogs are used as "bait dogs" for training.
This means that these poor dogs are tied by their legs and their mouths are taped closed so as they cannot fight back in defence,they can only lie there as the dogs trained for fighting attack them therefore ripping them apart and eventually killing them..a slow and painful death.
We the undersigned ask that the Government make more people aware of what happens to their stolen pets so they are not left tied up outside stores unattended and at risk of being snached away by those that meaningly go out to do this. We need people to be more aware when their pets are left outside in their own gardens also.
There are many people left distressed at the loss of their stolen and much loved pet and many dogs and cats suffering and dying horrifically.
We ask that the UK Government put up posters warning people.
We would also like a short TV advertisement highlighting this.
NOT EVERYONE KNOWS THEIR PETS MAY BE ENDING THEIR LIVES AS BAIT.
