Get the Devon emergency services to switch on Exeter Christmas Lights

Why have some overpaid so called celebrity when you have local heroes that need to be recognised and rewarded

And those unnamed groups that supported the emergency services.

More than 150 firefighters and dozens of police officers sprang into action on 28 October 2016 when a fire broke out in the Castle Fine Art gallery in Exeter. It spread across to the Royal Clarence Hotel – understood to be the oldest in the country – and burned for two days.

Fortunately no one was killed or injured in the blaze.

Let us recognise those who helped for their hard work by inviting them to turn on the festive Christmas lights in town on 17 November.

If enough people sign, the event organisers will see that our town wants the services workers to be recognised for their valiant efforts against what is being described as the worst disaster to hit the city since the bombing during the Second World War.

Thank you.
