Enforce the Laws made for Murderers
My nephew was shot and killed and because his killer was drunk he may only receive a 10 year sentence. This is unfair and unjust. We need mandatory laws for murderers if the courts will not enforce the laws already set for them,maybe a person will think twice before taking someones life if they are facing a mandory sentence of at least 30 years !
It's time to make murderers think twice about taking someones life --- I do believe that Kansas laws are strict enough but I also believe that the courts need to enforce these laws and stop giving plea bargains in a murder case,even if the defendant is drunk/high on drugs or has no prior convictions. It's scary living in a community where a "drug dealer" gets more time in prison than a convicted murderer,
