Reduce, not increase United States presence in Afghanistan: THEY DEPEND ON IT

The future of Afghanistan is at stake.  Afghanistan was in the throes of a civil war which we interrupted by siding with the lesser political faction to subdue the Taliban following 9/11.  The United States' neglect of Afghanistan's subsistance realities has simply exacerbated the situation and restored the Taliban.
It is time to allow Afghanistan to resolve its own problems.  Our military presence in Afghanistan should be reduced and not increased.

Honorable Presedent of the United States of America, You are in the throes of a decision concerning our continued presence in Afghanistan including increased military assistance. However, neither our economic nor military support will resolve the true issue facing the typical Afghan.  Rather, they must be allowed to return to the traditional governance and economy best suited to their country. Our assistance will simply enrichen the elite urban few and train imdividuals who shall return to their families to resume their struggle against foreign interference and, eventually the civil war we interrupted. Our exit at this time would best serve the basic interests of Afghanistan and its peoples. We therefore urge you to make the correct decision and withdraw all but commercial interests from Afghanistan.
