Save the Assyrian Church of the East and Legacy in Flint Michigan

Assyrian Community of Flint Michigan Risks Losing Everything. Let's Take A Stand Together.

In the face of economic downturn, the mother of all Assyrian Church of the East locations in North America can no longer sustain herself. With a small, and mostly elderly congregation, finances and manpower are scarce. The risk of the church closing is becoming greater (estimated closing date Dec. 2014).

Additionally threatening is that the church provides administrative/event space for its affiliates, the Assyrian-American Club of Flint and the Assyrian Cemetery, both of which have served the Assyrian-American community of Flint for upwards of 70 years. The loss of the church will mean the inevitable decay of this small, but faithful remaining Assyrian community; the original Holy Apostolic Catholic Assyrian Church of the East community in North America.
