Help Save "NOSEY THE ELEPHANT" and send her to a sanctuary

  • by: Lucio Ortega Jr

Nosey has been suffering under the care of her owner and handler. She is being forced to perform and give rides despite her pain. Vets seem to think she has arthritis but performs under the threat of a bull hook or other abusive measures. Vets cleary agree, she is being abused.

Good Morning to Members of the Indiana Legislature,

I petition the members of the Indiana legislature to confiscate “Nosey the Elephant” from her owner and handler. Nosey is an ailing Asian elephant who is in dire need of our help

She is being forced to perform despite her poor health which is accomplished through the use of a “bull hook” which has been banned in many states in the United States. Graphic videos show her “pain” and she limps around while been asked to carry added weight on her shoulders. We can only imagine what that added burden must feel for her, but her “limp” should is clear evidence.

Won’t you speak up and help the Humane Society of the United States confiscate “Nosey”? Won’t you aid in transferring her to The Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee or some other reputable sanctuary? We urge you to help us, help Nosey so that she may live her last years in peace.

I advocate for animal welfare, both foreign and domestic, wild and captive, and defender of the Earth.

Sincerely,

Lucio Ortega Jr MLS

Update #57 years ago
I will not give up on Nosey. Latest update, an email from the Humane Society, they did not receive the complete letter and petition because the file was TOO BIG. However, they are asking me to resubmit. This will be the last update, we are allowed only 5. But is continues under "Rescue Nosey and send her to a sanctuary." Thanks you for caring for Nosey.

I want to thank everyone for signing my petition. The decision maker has been contacted, however there still has been no reply. A "NO" would still be a reply. What we can continue to do is make sure to keep "Nosey" a.k.a. "Tiny" in our prayers and protest at her "torture sessions/appearances" I have notified the @HSUS and @peta who are working on her case. Again, much appreciated.

Good afternoon all. Thank you so much for signing my petition. However, we seem to have reached a standstill, no more signatures are being added. Likewise, there has been no reply from the decision makers. Follow my blog: lucioortegamlspetitions.blogspot.com

VICTORY for NOSEY in Indiana !! Thanks to PETA'S involvement, Nosey's performance at the flea market has been canceled. However, she is still expected to give rides even though she can hardly walk, Help us get Nosey out of Ohio where she will face the same plight. The goal is for the Humane Society to confiscate Nosey and send her to a sanctuary. I would like to think that my letter to the Indiana Legislature and Gov. Pence were also effective. Thank You.
