Australia, Taxpayers Shouldn't Pay for Executive Vacations!

How do you get a free trip to Thailand, Greece, Macedonia, and Vietnam? Well, if you are a member of Australia's parliament, all you have to do is verbally abuse your Muslim population and then call it a tax-payer funded "cultural understanding" trip.

Aussie MP Luke Simpkins first accused Muslim Australians of attempting to convert other Australians by selling meat that has been butchered in compliance with the Islamic religion. Then, as part of his diversity re-education, Simpkins spent $15,840 traveling to countries from which many western Australians emigrated.

Lamentably, Simpkins' thinly-disguised paid vacation--which included a visit to the Acropolis--is not the only suspect travel that MPs have recently made at taxpayer expense. Tell Australia's Parliament to raise the requirements for "cultural understanding."

We the undersigned are outraged to learn that taxpayer dollars have been spent to fund what are little more than luxury vacations for members of Parliament.

Luke Simpkins seems to take the cake. First he insults the Muslim Australian community with the insane accusation that they are trying to make converts of other Australians by having meat butchered in compliance with Muslim law. Then, to improve his cultural understanding, he gives himself a taxpayer funded vacation to Thailand, Greece, and Macedonia.

Parliament seriously needs to redefine what constitutes a "cultural understanding" trip.
