Sylvester the lion is a lion from Karoo National Park in SA. Last year, he had escaped the park and was found days later. People said that he caused a lot of trouble, worth about R800,000. Some days ago it was reported that he has again escaped the park, this time by crawling under the electric fence.
Unfortunately, SANParks has decided not to return the lion back at the park. Instead of it, he will be put down as soon as captured. SANParks spokesman Rey Takhuli said that a helicopter is being used along with a tracjer team to locate Sylvester. He also said that he will not be returned to the park, as he is a problem and will be euthanised. Sylvester was fitted with a tracking divice after his escape last year and was found to be about 20 kilometers south-west of the park.

Update 2: Sylvester was recaptured today after he was darted from the helicopter which was after him. He will be kept in the park in a boma until a final decision is reached on his future.

Update 1: SNAParks say that they apologise for the misunderstending, as they claim that euthanising Sylvester is only an option. Still, I am sure they will euthanise him at the end, no matter what they say.
