Destroying this piece of PARADISE would have a devistating impact on feeding habitats and Eco systems home to an abundance of wildlife! Kangaroos, Wide range of Birds, Sea life. This waterway directly feeds a marine national park home to Dugongs, Turtles, Dolphins, Whales and many more- What type of effect could you bare to imagine, would an entire HOUSING ESTATE have on this delicate Environmental Habitat Haven? Who is responsible for standing up and saying enough is enough?... I have signed my name, will you stand with me? Please sign this petition and let FRASER COAST COUNCIL know that we need to protect these precious rare Wildlife Havens, not cash them in for a quick buck!!

Subject: Application number MCU141058 Burrum Heads Dear Council, I refer to the above application for further development in Burrum Heads. I advise that I object strongly to the above proposal for the following reasons. Currently there is a plethora of wildlife which currently exists and relies on the current habitat. There is no safe area for kids to swim and play in the proposed application. The existing tidal lake provides safety and a nursery for newborn fish and cranes, the lake also feeds into a green area. Many species of birds including black swans and the migratory bird from Russia which relies on the lake and surrounding land for food source and rehabilitation after their incredible flight from Russia. There are black swans who habitat the lake. Reduction of flood easement to the lake obviously puts existing land and home owners at risk of flood damage as it has almost done in the past without further land development. The increase of subdivision will incur heavier traffic flow around the lake area and decrease the ability for people to exercise by having what exists now as a relative safe area turned into a suburban nightmare. It should be stated loud and clear that your Council denied a similar development in 2012. Most importantly there are rare frogs found and confirmed by council in this area. There is no current infrastructure to support another 70 plus lots with potentially 280 residents or more. The lake as it is would not survive further stormwater drainage. We were told by Council that nothing would be applied for in this area until 2026 what happened?. Lifestyles will be eroded and lost forever if this application is approved that's for us humans but for the existing wildlife it is reprehensible .
