Demarco Wilson, Kendrick Gillum and Antonio Williams were falsely convicted of capital murder and sentenced to life without parole for the murder of Charles Newsom in Crittenden county, Ar. The murder was committed just yards from the infamous WM3 murder scene at the Mayfair apartment complex in W. Memphis, Ar.
Coincidentally, the same judge that presided over the WM3 trial presided over this case. Some of the same detectives worked this case also.
The public defenders that represented them never investigated the case and were very ineffective to say the least. Their 8th and 14th amendments were violated. They were denied due process and a fair trial. Unlike the WM3, they've never had HBO, national support nor any type of notary and the same broken system that's supposed to serve and protect us all has failed these men for the past 21 years. It's time to rally behind these 3 W. Memphians in support of them getting the justice they deserve and bring them home to their families and love ones.
