Help Prevent Siberian Tiger Extinction

One of the two tigers sent to Iran by Russian government to regenerate the population of Siberian Tiger in Iran has died due to the mismanagement and incapability of the Environment and Animal Protection Organization of Iran after an identified illness and there is a rumor that the second one is also ill.

We have also heard that the Russian Environment Department is supposed to send four more tigers to Iran. We, the Iranian animal lovers and environmental activists, would like to ask the Russian authorities to overturn this decision and prevent such rare and beautiful animals from perish due to the incapability of Iranian managers.

Coincided with the death of the Russian tiger, the managers of Tehran (Eram) Zoo killed 14 lions kept in the zoo under the pretext of stopping the spread of the disease. They were killed in the worst brutal method, using guns and bullets. This catastrophe has caused acute pain for animal lovers of Iran.

Unfortunately, there is no will in Iran to preserve the lives of animals and the aim of authorities to bring the Russian tigers has not been but sheer propaganda. Thus, there is no chance for the survival and propagation of these animals.

We emphatically ask you not to endanger the lives of 4 more tigers by sending them to the mercy of such ignorant authorities.
